Nickels' Place was chosen for the name of this antique shop because the house is 109 years old and has been owned by the Nickels family for all but a few years. The owner of this shop, Frances Juanita (Nickels) Baggett, moved into this house when she was three years old. The house has been refurbished but kept as original as possible.

Wanda Morton, a local watercolor artist, paints here on Thursday. Wanda has traveled to London, Paris, Italy, Greece, Spain, France and Ireland. She takes pictures of picturesque places she would like to paint while traveling and then creates original watercolor paintings from her prints. She also paints scenes of many local works of art, i.e. Blount County's four covered bridges. Wanda enjoys painting memories of stories she has lived or was told. Wanda is pleased to paint commissioned art of anything you desire.
